      1. My two cents on this as a black person that can draw to some extent: blushing is about your cheeks getting darker much more than it is about your cheeks getting redder. "Her cheeks flushed bright red" is an idiom that we say. It's not actually accurate to what's happening @angeldrumcat/1650809361340547075

      There are plenty of characters that blush, but blush not red. And in manga, without color, blush is entirely conveyed with the cheeks and nose getting darker. They don't need to bust out red because the thing that's doing it is the change in value, not hue

    "Black people don't blush" "No they do but it's more subtle". That's not wrong but it's not the primary thing. When there is blood in your skin, it gets darker first, and redder (NOT pinker!) second. That's the primary thing Behold the flesh eggs
