    1. pokemon is way harder than people give it credit for. harder than chess or something? I don't know. but it's one of the most granular strategy and deckbuilding games around.     even with chess, like, I'm learning the Vienna opening for white. every Vienna game plays the same I just need to memorize the theory. but if I'm piloting a competitive singles team, at most I've been able to flowchart like, the first 3 turns due to the inherent lack of info

      and that's not even to mention the official competitive format, in which each player brings a team of 6 and chooses 2 in the lead and 2 on standby. On turn 1 you have 60 seconds to load into one of (6 choose 2 * 4 choose 2)^2 = 8100 possible board states
