          1. I love this right wing talking point because it's very easy to gotcha the asshole making this argument, and I'm disappointed that the person in the clip lets her run her mouth for this long. Anyway, right here I'll show you how to win this one every time! 🧵 @deonteleologist/1402862086212837376

          1. Ask "are you a racist?" They will quickly tell you "no!" and complain about how leftists call everyone racist 2. Say "I'm glad you're not racist. That means you think, like, Black and white people are equally capable of making good decisions, right?" They will say yes again

        3. "So, if Black people and white people are equally likely to make the decisions that lead to success, Black and white people should be equally successful, right? In other words, they *should* have equal outcomes. But the data shows that they don't. Why?"

At this point, the right-winger has two options. A) they can backtrack say Black people make worse decisions due to "culture" or IQ, which is racist (ask why Black people develop a worse culture) B) admit the difference is systemic and, by proxy, that you are correct

Either way, you win instantly if someone makes the "equality of opportunity, not equality of outcome" argument. The reason why is that the argument is a racist dog whistle. They're REALLY saying "Black people will always do worse and we should stop trying to fix it with welfare"
